Photographer Tom Doyle sent in these two photos with a description of when he took them:
Those shots were taken shortly after the rain stopped on Wednesday evening, June 18. The perspective is from a clear spot on Whitehorse Mountain above the Reservoir Rd entrance to Black Rock Forest.
I had to wait for the sun to break through the clouds to get a shot of the ridges in back light. The mist was an unexpected bonus; it started rising from the valleys and was nicely back lit.
