On Sunday June 3rd at 12:30, the Cornwall Public Library will be showing a short dramatic film called "Time Heals All Wounds" by Thomas Bailey. The film deals with teenagers and social media postings and the possible consequences of those actions. The film stars three Cornwall High School Seniors.
Synopsis of film: High school senior Jack finds out that Emma from school is interested in him. Just when things are going really well between Emma and Jack, he makes a mistake that threatens his relationship with Emma and his best friend Andrew.
Bailey feels strongly about this subject matter and hopes that younger teens 8th / 9th graders might watch this film and maybe think twice about posting something inappropriate that may come back to haunt them later.
The plan is to show the film and then have an informal discussion about the subject matter.
The characters of the film are high school seniors so it does contain profanity so the rating is PG-13 / TV-14. Therefore, it is not appropriate for teens under 8th grade.
This film was made on almost no budget ($500 not including the actors or the fil maker's time). Bailey thinks it tells a compelling story about what teens are dealing with today.
