Skoufis Announces Route 32 Improvements
Assemblyman James Skoufis (D-Woodbury) shared that improvements to Route 32 headed towards Five Corners in Vails Gate are underway. He and local officials have pressed the Department of Transportation to address the infrastructure in this area.
The approximately $1 million project is being divided into two phases. The first phase, underway now, corrects the significant drainage issues in the area. The second phase, which Skoufis is advocating to get done next year, will resurface the road.
"Making sure our roads are smooth and safe continues to be a top priority of mine," said Assemblyman Skoufis. "The section of Route 32 between the Moodna Creek Bridge and Five Corners has been in desperate need of attention so, working with local officials, I've relentlessly pushed the Department of Transportation to advance this project. I'm very pleased the work is underway."
