Beridiana Lopez, of Cornwall, NY entered into eternal rest on July 13, 2017 at Community Hospice Anne & Donald McGraw Center for Caring, Jacksonville, FL. She was 81 years old.
The daughter of the late Jose Rivera and Justa (Santiago) Rivera, Beridiana was born on February 1, 1936 in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico.
Beridiana was a retired Cook at the U.S. Military Academy-West Point, NY and also retired from Majestic Weaving, Cornwall, NY.
Beridiana was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family.
Beridiana is survived by her loving husband, Hector M. Lopez; her daughters, Blanca I. Rosa, Sonia I. Taranto, both of Jacksonville, FL, Madeline Diaz of Cornwall, NY, Migdalia Rodriquez of Callahan, FL, and Milagros Gabino of New Windsor, NY; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren; her brothers, Jose, Jr., Floilan, Juan and Erico; and many nieces and nephews. Beridiana was predeceased by her brothers, Obdulio, Feliberto, and Benjamin; her sisters, Francisca Gonzalez and Maria Machado.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18th and 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19th.at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 20th at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor, NY.
Memorial Contributions in Beridiana’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
