Cornwall Public Library offers Hour of Code to Kids and Adults
CORNWALL, NY – On Monday, December 4, from 4:30-5:30 pm, the Cornwall Public Library will once again take part in the Hour of Code. Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics. What began as one man’s vision to help students learn more about computer science, has turned into a worldwide event.
Since the library began taking part in the Hour of Code two years ago, we have seen kids, teens, and adults gain confidence in working through basic coding tutorial puzzles and even more challenging coding tasks. This program is geared toward those 8 years and older, and adults are welcome to attend. We ask that young children be accompanied by an adult.
Space is limited, so please register by visiting the library’s online calendar or call the library at 845-534-8282. Please bring your own computer or device, because the library’s supply of laptops and tablets is limited.
