On October 25, 2016, the Cornwall-on-Hudson Village Board unanimously appointed, Theo Dawydko, as a full- time police officer with the Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department. Officer Dawydko previously worked for both the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and the Town of Blooming Grove Police Department. Officer Dawydko is a NYS Certified Police Instructor, a NYS Certified Field Training Officer and a NYS Certified School Resource Officer. Officer Dawydkos’ official first date of employment with the Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department will be November 09, 2016.
Officer Dawydko replaces P.O. Joseph Guarneiri who resigned from the Cornwall-on-Hudson PD this past September, 2016’ to take a position as a police officer with the Village of Chester, N.Y. Police Department.
The hiring of officer Dawydko brings the Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department staffing up to three (3) full- time police officers and twelve (12) part- time police officers.
