On Monday, July 13, 2015, at approximately 1:45pm, the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department arrested a 17yr old female subject for the following offenses: (2) Counts of Burglary in the 2nd Degree of a dwelling, (1) Count of Attempted Burglary in the 2nd Degree of a dwelling, (1) Count of Attempted Burglary in the 3rd Degree of a building , (2) Counts of Petit Larceny and (1) Count of Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree. The female subject was arraigned before the Hon. Francis Navarra with bail set at $7,500.00/ 15,000.00 secured bond. The Defendant was subsequently remanded to the Orange County Jail, Goshen, N.Y.
On Friday, July 03, 2015, at approximately 8:30pm, a female juvenile (a person under the age of 16years of age), was arrested by the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department and charged with the same above offenses as the 17yr old Defendant. Due to the age of the listed respondent/ designated juvenile delinquent, her case will be handled in Orange County Family Court.
The above arrests follow a police investigation of the following incident:
On Tuesday, June 23, 2015, during the early morning hours, both listed subjects allegedly entered (2) private residences and removed property from within while the residents were home asleep. The above listed subjects did also allegedly attempt to enter another private residence while the residents were home asleep. The above listed subjects did also allegedly attempt to enter a private business as well. These incidents all occurred within the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y., County of Orange, State of New York.
