General News: Notes from the March 2015 Town Work Session

CORNWALL, NY – On Monday the town board held their monthly work session. Unfortunately, board member, Peter Russell was not in attendance.
The “Green Project” is set to begin April 1st with Lehman & Getz. However the board is prepared to push the date back if needed. The estimated cost that Lehman & Getz has asked for is $17,750 to complete the project.
The Town has hired a Grant Writer and a Preservation Architect for Sands Ring Homestead. They have created contracts with both the writer and architect. However, the Grant Writer hasn’t been very responsive, thus causing the project to come to a halt. The Architect, on the other hand, is ready and willing to get started as soon as possible. Also the Sands Ring Homestead Trustees wanted to remind the board and Local Contractors that the contractor bids are due this week.
The Town of Cornwall will have their regular Board Meeting this coming Monday, March 9th, at 7pm in Town Hall.
