Orange County Arts Council presents High School Arts Celebration
Sugar Loaf, NY –The Orange County Arts Council is proud to host the All-County High School Arts Celebration in the Lower Level Center Court at the Galleria at Crystal Run in Middletown on Saturday, February 27th from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
This Arts Celebration combines both visual arts and performing arts. Eight high schools will be singing, dancing and strutting their stuff as they share a small sample of their upcoming spring musicals and fifteen high schools will be showing off their talented visual artists with each other and the general public during this all day art celebration. Dawn Ansbro, Executive Director for the Orange County Arts Council, said “The county-wide student art shows sponsored by the Arts Council have been a great success. We have more schools participating this year than ever before. It is a wonderful opportunity for the students to see each other’s work and for the public to understand how important our school arts programs are for our children. All of these students are so talented – and it’s great to see that talent and creativity all brought together in one place.”
Cornwall High School will be performing numbers from their upcoming musical “The Wiz”. Port Jervis High School students will be singing and dancing their way through songs from the musical “Into The Woods”. Valley Central High School will be showing off its unique version of the classic musical ”Guys and Dolls”.
