General News: Changes in Dog Fees and Fines
from the Town of Cornwall Town Board
The Cornwall Town Board at the regular meeting of January 12th, 2015 passed a resolution to enter into an agreement with the Town of Woodbury to provide dog control services to Cornwall. Under the agreement, the following fines/fees will be imposed.
TOWN OF CORNWALL SCHEDULE OF DOG FEES/FINES
$60.00 impound fee for a dog picked up by Woodbury Dog Warden or Cornwall Police Department between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00 pm;
$100.00 impound fee for a dog picked up by Woodbury Dog Warden or Cornwall Police Department between the hours of 4:00 pm and 8:00 am;
$25.00 daily boarding fee;
$50.00 fine for a dog being at large;
'$75.00 fine for second capture within 18 months;
$100.00 fine for third capture;
$25.00 fine for an unlicensed dog. If the dog was previously in the Town' s system, the owner would be responsible to pay the $25.00 fine, plus the cost of license for any lapsed years .
Residents are reminded that all dogs harbored in the Town of Cornwall must be licensed with the Town Clerk's office.
