Young Naturalists Donate Care Packages for Wildlife
The Young Naturalist Preschool classes at the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum decided to prepare a Holiday gift to help those who help wildlife. So, this month, the Young Naturalists and their parents prepared baskets of donated blankets, towels, gloves, food and bandages, for NYS Licensed Wildlife rehabilitators in our area.
The Museum’s Young Naturalist Preschool Program offers three and four year olds the opportunity to interact with other students and with nature in a hands-on and exciting way. The children learn their letters, numbers, colors and shapes while exploring, experimenting and discovering the world around them.
The Young Naturalists Preschool Program runs from September to June for three and four year olds. An open house for the 2015-16 will be held for Museum members on Thursday, January 22 from 3:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. and for the public on Thursday, March 19 from 3:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Outdoor Discovery Center, for further information and to become a museum member go to hhnm.org or call 845-534-5506, ext. 204.
