Phyllis Florence Kelly, 84, of Salisbury Mills, NY, formerly of Washington Township in Bergen County, NJ for 28 years, died Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York City, NY.
A Retired Office Manager with Kost Ford in Tenafly, NJ, she was born May 10, 1928 in Gardfield, NJ, to Frances and George Gusciora. She was married to the late John J. Kelly.
Phyllis's hobbies were gardening, reading, going to the beach, travelling and being with her family.
Survivors include her daughters: Patricia Johnson and Pamela Kelly-Day and her husband, Wayne Day; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Kelly; grandchildren: Meghan Kelly, Shannon Kelly, Alexander Day, Devin Kelly and Keith Day, several nieces and nephews, as well as special friends: Maria Ferigno, Helen and Hal Jarger. She was predeceased by her husband, John J. Kelly, Jr. and son, John J. Kelly, III.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 27 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 28 at St. Mary's Church, 180 South St., Newburgh, NY. Cremation will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Mount Sinai Hospital Palliative Care Center, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, One Gustave L. Levy Place, New York, NY 10029-6574 or St. Mary's Church, 180 South St., Newburgh, NY 12550.
