General News: Winter Extravaganza This Saturday

Three businesses at Cornwall Plaza have teamed up to offer local residents a chance to win some exciting prizes that are guaranteed to chase away the winter blues. They’re calling it a Winter Extravaganza.
Nancy Gillmeier, of World Wide Travel, started with the idea of bringing in some travel experts to talk about trips to the warm Caribbean and then asked her neighbors at Cornwall Wines and Touch of Gold jewelers if they wanted to have their stores be part of a joint event. Cornwall Wines will offer a wine tasting from 1 to 4 pm.
“We all get along well and thought we could work together to create some buzz in Cornwall,” Gillmeier said. The three stores are offering visitors who visit each location a chance to win three prizes: three days in an all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana, a diamond necklace and a year’s membership in the Wine of the Month club.
All you have to do is visit the stores between 11 am and 4 pm on Saturday, January 28 and pick up a passport that must be signed by each of the stores to be eligible to win a prize.
