General News: New Acts, Sponsors Needed for Fair

The Firrmen’s Fair in the village of Cornwall-on-Hudson may be six months away but organizer Jeff Armitage is busy making plans for the Storm King Fire Engine Company’s annual event.
Armitage says that he is looking for new acts and shows to appear on stage at the Fair, which is scheduled to run from July 25-28.
He’d also like to see more local businesses step up as sponsors of the event.
The fair is the largest fundraiser for the fire company and this September dozens of firefighters from throughout the county will be in the village for several days for the annual county volunteer firefighters association convention and parade so extra resources will be required.
