Slippery roads led to a one-vehicle accident outside the Highland Engine firehouse Wednesday afternoon that temporarily closed the top of Angola Road.
Cornwall assistant fire chief Tave Graham said the driver of a RAV-4 Toyota was headed north on Angola Road when he hydro-planed on the slick road surface, spun around more than 190 degrees, then tipped over.
The driver was not hurt and he didn’t have anyone else in the car. The Highland Engine company responded to the scene and quickly righted the vehicle, which suffered a busted side view mirror.
