John Thomas McKeon was born to Diana Brady McKeon and Donald S. McKeon on September 6, 1955. He passed away on November 15, 2011, surrounded by his family.
He was a wonderful, adoring husband to Cynthia Deviney McKeon and a proud, devoted father to four beautiful daughters: Meredith, Shannon, Kaitlyn, and Molly. He was a loving brother to his six siblings, their spouses, partner and fianc: Robert and Clare McKeon of Darien, CT; Karen McKeon and Jim Bickford of Manahawkin, NJ; Donald and Rebecca McKeon of Buffalo, NY; Joseph and Caroline McKeon of Waverly, NY; George and Barbara McKeon of Walden, NY; Matthew McKeon and Joseph Griffiths of Albany, NY. Finally he was a loving nephew, warmhearted uncle, and kind, loyal friend to many.
John worked for the New York State Division of Corrections and Division of Parole for 33 years, during which time he developed lifelong friendships and a career that he loved. He spent his days creating unforgettable memories with his family, traveling the country and loving life. He will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Family and Friends may call from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, November 19th and from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday the 20th at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, November 21 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson.
