In 2019 The Village Police Department applied for 2 different grants which were awarded in August2020. One grant was through the NRA for the amount of $1,653 which will be utilized towards the purchase of three Point Blank Bullet-Proof Vests and another grant which is a Traffic Enforcement Grant through the New York State Governor's Traffic Safety Committee for $2,300. This includes but not limited to, Sealt Belt Mobilization Enforcement, Distracted Driving Enforcement and Speed Awareness Enforcement. The grant will be utilized for these Traffic Enforcement Efforts.
