Richard A. Smith, 55, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, passed away on November 5, 2011 at the Kaplan Family Hospice in Newburgh, NY.
Smith, who was born in Newburgh, on May 12, 1956, was the Regional Sales Manager for Burgess Pigment Co., in Hoboken, N.J. He was the son of Robert B. and Doris Curry Smith.
He is survived by his wife Rosemarie A. Salvatore Smith at home; his parents, Robert B. Smith, of Boynton Beach, FL., and Doris Curry Smith, of Cornwall; his sons: Gregory Smith and Richard Smith, both of Cornwall-on-Hudson NY and Jeffrey Smith, of Hoboken NJ; brother, William R. Smith and his wife DeDe of Cornwall, NY; and sister, Deborah S. Johnson and her husband, Carl, of Naples, FL. Nephews: Matt Smith, Michael Johnson; and nieces: Allie Smith, Kristen Otto, Erika Johnson and Lauren Johnson.
Organizations: Long time member of Storm King Golf Club serving as Past President and treasurer.
Family Statement:
The family would like to extend our sincerest thanks to the staff of the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence. He was a caring father a loving husband and touched the lives of so many people in such a positive way. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 from 3 to 8 pm at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on=Hudson, NY 12520. Contributions may be made to Kaplan Family Hospice, 1 Sunrise Terrace, Newburgh, NY 12550. Arranges by Quigley Bros. Funeral Home.
