John William Caudy, a longtime resident of Cornwall-on-Hudson, entered into rest on Monday, October 24, 2011. He was 95.
The son of the late Ray and Bessie Caudy he was born in Robinson, IL on December 15, 1915.
John was a sergeant in the Army Infantry during WWII. He was married to Ruby Caudy for 73 years.
John was always cheerful and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Ruby at home; sons Howard Caudy and wife Darlena, Richard Caudy and wife Donna and John Caudy, Jr.; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; three brothers, Kenneth, Robert and Victor; plus several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Cornwall Presbyterian Church, 222 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY.
Donations in John’s memory may be made to Cornwall Presbyterian Church or to the Caudy family.
