General News: Village Code to Go Online
September 20, 2011
By Charlie B. Scirbona
In the near future, village residents will be able to look at the village code online.
The village Board of Trustees voted Monday to put the code online as well as to update portions of it.
Village Trustee Andrew Argenio said he was happy to see the board achieve this goal, which he has been pushing since he ran for office in March.
The move to put the code online and update it will cost the village $3,000. Village Deputy Mayor Mark Edsall said the village can afford that cost because it saved money in the building department when the village only had to pay for a building inspector working 20 hours a month instead of 20 hours a week.
