Obituaries: Sophia Jane Hennessey

Sophia Jane Hennessey of Cornwall-on-Hudson entered into rest on Monday, September 19, 2011 at Elant @ Newburgh. She was 84.
The daughter of the late Augustine T. and Hazel Fredrickson Hennessey, she was born on May 6, 1927 in Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. Jane was a devoted employee of Cornwall Hospital for many years, working as a dietician.
She is survived by her sister Doris and by many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22 from 7 to 9 pm at James F. Lulves Funeral Home, 9 Avenue A, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 23 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations in Jane’s memory may be made to Cornwall Volunteer Ambulance Corps., P.O. Box 151, Cornwall, NY 12518.
