After a courageous and valiant fight, John R. Cito, Jr., 48, of New Windsor, NY passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, surrounded by his loving family.
John was born April 17, 1963 in Sleepy Hollow, NY ,and grew up in Buchannan, NY. He was the beloved son of John R. and Joan (Castriana) Cito Sr.of Cortlandt Manor. He was married to Lauren Bigg Cito, who survives at home, one daughter, Allison Biasotti, at home, and one son. Ryan Biasotti, at home. Siblings: James Cito (Sharlene) and Jeffrey all of Wappingers Falls. Brothers-in-law: Michael Bigg Jr. (Michele), John Bigg (Diane), and Steven Bigg (Candace). Sisters-in-law: Regina Mariotti (Joe Big), Jomarie Rivers (John), 11 nieces and nephews, and his two golden retreivers Chase and Ella.
John was a 1981 graduate of Hendrick Hudson High School and a 1985 graduate of SUNY Maritime at Fort Schyler and received his MBA from NYIT. He was employed as an IT manager by United Parcel Service in Mahwah, NJ, and an adjunct professor at NYIT. He was a former member of the St Thomas of Canterbury school board and former Athletic director at St Thomas of Canterbury School.
John was the most unselfish person and his character was exemplary. He adored his wife and children and will be sadly missed.
Friends and family may call Sunday, 9/11/2011, from 5-9 pm at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home,. 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson NY 12520. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am. Monday, 9/12/2011, at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson NY .
