Obituaries: Edith L. Cambria

August 22, 2011

Edith L. Cambria, a homemaker and resident of Cornwall, entered into rest on August 18, 2011, at home. She was 96. The daughter of Herbert Davis and Katherine Correll Davis , she was born June 27, 1915 in New York, NY.

She was a member Order of the Eastern Star and St. John's Episcopal Church in Cornwall.

Survivors include her daughter, Joanne Cambria of Cornwall; sister, Dorothy Abbott of Cornwall; nephew, Larry Abbott of Ashburnham, MA; nieces, Kiera and Emma Abbott, both of Ashburnham, MA; granddaughter, Jennifer Gayton and her husband, Daniel of Cornwall; great-grandchildren, Daniel and Sterling Hayes.

There will be no public visitation. Graveside Service will be 10 a.m., at Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor, on Monday, August 22. A Memorial Service will be 11 a.m., Friday, August 26, at 11 a.m., at St. John's Episcopal Church, 58 Clinton St., Cornwall.

Memorial contributions may be made in Edith's memory to: St. John's Church, 58 Clinton St., Cornwall, NY 12518, or Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc., 800 Stony Brook Ct., Newburgh, NY 12550.
