Susanne Vondrak took these photos during the graduation ceremony of the Class of 2011 at Cornwall Central High School on Friday night.
The threat of rain forced the ceremony inside where it was conducted in the gymnasiumin front of a capacity crowd of parents, siblings and other relatives. Those who could fit the the gym watched the graduation on a video feed in the auditorium.
The main speakers this year were the student valedictorian, Cassandra Vondrak, and the salutatorian, Kaitlyn Benitez Strine. Many other students were recognized for their leadership and community involvement. Two musical perfornances, one by graduating senior Nick Logerfo who sang an original composition, rounded out the evening.
