General News: School Supplies Sought for Peruvian Children

A Cornwall Central High School junior is headed to Peru to volunteer in a small village this summer and she is seeking donations of school and art supplies to take with her.
Franny Eremin, a Cornwall-on-Hudson resident, wants to fill a suitcase with donated materials and personally deliver them when she travels to Peru in July. She will be helping to teach English, art and math to child in the rural village of Lunahuana.
The Foreign Language department and Student Government Organization at CCHS have generously offered to co-sponsor the school and art supply drive for the underprivileged children of Lunahuana.
There are collection bins in the foreign language classrooms and at Cornwall-on- Hudson Elementary School. Or you may call Ms. Eremin directly (after school hours) at 534-9941.
Recommended items include: crayons, markers, construction Paper, coloring books, glue sticks, paint, brushes, pens, pencils, looseleaf notebooks, folders, etc.
