Luis (Papa) Perales of Cornwall-on-Hudson passed away on March 31, 2011 at the age of 82.
He was a chemical regulator with Metro Chemical Co. in the Bronx and later a school custodian for St. Thomas School.
Perales was born on December 26, 1928, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Orthello Perales.
He is survived by his wife, Irma Perales, at home, his daughter, Ellie DelGaudio, and her husband, Andrew, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY and grandchildren: Andrew Jaso Del Guadio , Christopher Veni and Jessica Marie DelGaudio He was predeeased by a son, Luis Perales.
He was a member of St. Thomas of Canterbury Church and Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of Fatima Council , as well a 4th Degree Knight with the Francis Gorman Assembly. He also volunteered with Munger Cottage food program in Cornwall, NY.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 pm on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home at 337 Hudson Street in Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY, 12520.
Funeral service will be a t 10 am Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, April 4, 2011 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church , 340 Hudson St. Cornwall -on-Hudson, NY. Burial to follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Cornwall, NY.
