Florence T. Koment, of Cornwall, NY, died on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the age of 92.
Koment was a bookkeeper with Lindi-Di of New Windsor and was the widow of John Koment, who passed away in October 1997.
She was born in Manhattan, NY, on March 31, 1917, the daughter of Antonio and Angelina Abate Mancuso.
She is survived by her son: John Koment, of Woodstock, MD; daughters Ann Grodnick, of Montgomery, NY., Janet Pizzo, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY, Barbara Garay, of Williamsburg, VA., Nancy Sylcox, of Montgomery, NY, Lori Morosky, of Erie PA.; brother Will Castelli, of Cornwall, NY; grandchildren, Barbara Natkiel, Karen Harnecker Stephen Grodnick, Jodi Dalesandro, Michael Pizzo, John & Eric Garay, Edward & Christopher Sylcox, Lauren & Emily Morosky; several great grand children.
Koment was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court Patricia # 195 at Sacred Heart Church, in Newburgh, NY, Past Grand Regent and a member of St. Thomas of Canterbury Church and Choir and early founder of St. Thomas Bingo in Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home at 337 Hudson St., in Cornwall-on-Hudson. Catholic Daughters of America will met at 3 pm.
Funeral service will be a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas of Canterbury in Cornwall-on-Hudson.
