Irma Jean Birdsall of Newburgh and formerly of Cornwall, entered into rest on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh campus. She was 81.
The daughter of the late Harry and Alma Wellman Beyer, she was born on December 9, 1928 in Newburgh, NY.
Jean was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served for four years. She worked in the main office of Star Expansion until her retirement. She had been an avid bowler, and loved animals and her flowers. Jean was a very quiet and personal person.
Survivors include son, Jeffrey Birdsall, and his wife, Christine; grandson Evan Birdsall; her brother, Harry Pat Beyer, of California and several cousins. She is also survived by her dear friend Gail Wygant and husband Richard, with whom she resided.
A Memorial Service for Jean will be held at a later date.
