Thomas L. Blackwell, age 65, of New Windsor, N.Y. died on September 26, 2009, at Castle Point Veterans Administration Hospital in Wappingers, N.Y.
Mr. Blackwell, formerly of New Mexico, had been a carpenter with Local 255 in Middletown, N.Y. and with New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM.
He was born on November 22, 1943 in Teaneck, N.J., the son of Thomas L. Blackwell and Adele Witt Blackwell.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Koval Blackwell, at home, his daughter, Laura Blackwell Graham, and her husband, Autavis, of New Windsor, N.Y., and two grandchildren: Jordan and Myles Graham.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y. 12520
His funeral service will be a graveside service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at the Orange County Veteran Cemetery, 111 Craigsville Rd., Goshen, N.Y. 10924.
