Louis DeCarolis, 95, of Cornwall, died September 8, 2009 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh.
The son of Temostocle DeCarolis and Rose Balsamini, he was born September 10, 1913 in West Haverstraw, NY.
He was a retired Traveling Auditor for NYC Railroad. He was past treasurer of the Village of West Haverstraw and past member and treasurer of West Haverstraw Fire Dept. and the Cornwall Little League.
A family statement reads: "Louis enjoyed the seasons he spent at Cornwall Little League as a cheering fan and score keeper for his grandsons and announcer for Senior League."
Survivors include his daughter, Jean M. Keahon and husband, Hugh G. Keahon of New Windsor; stepdaughter, Helen Compos of Dighton, MA; grandchildren, Shawn M. Keahon and Michael P. Keahon and wife, Jennifer Keahon; great-grandchildren: James R. Keahon and Katelyn M. Keahon; five step-grandchildren all of Massachusetts. He was predeceased by two brothers, Vincent P. DeCarolis and Frederick DeCarolis.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 11, at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, Cornwall-on-Hudson. Burial will follow on Saturday, September 12, in St. Anthony Cemetery, Nanuet, NY.
