Bob Langston, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, was out on the river on Sunday where he joined the great flotilla of boats marking the Quadricentennial.
He sent in these photos of the great boats in the flotilla, along with this note:
"Grand day yesterday, we made it back to Chelsea just before evening rain.
We motored down from Chelsea to Cornwall yesterday afternoon, spent the afternoon sailing around with just the 140 genoa. There was a strong enough SE breeze so we went just below Storm King Mountain on the east shore and pointed north. I had the sail out on starboard, we did about 2 knots and was about the same as the outgoing tide and current - we were pretty much standing still versus land but the sail added some really good stability versus all the passing boat chop. We watched the whole group go by and got some wonderful pics."
