Charles Stuart Satterly, age 86, of New Windsor, N.Y. died on March 26, 2009. He is the retired CEO and president of Stuart Satterly & Son Builder and Carpenter, of Cornwall, N.Y.
He was born on January 12, 1923, in Meadowbrook, N.Y., the son of Stuart Satterly and Helen Grace Meyers.
He is survived by his wife Margaret (Peg) McCarthy Satterly at home and a daughter, Susan Satterly, of Cornwall, N.Y, He was predeceased by his twin brother, Ernest Satterly,
Organizations: United States Navy Armed Guard during WWII, American Legion Post 353 in Cornwall, N.Y., Chairman Cornwall Assessment Bd. of Review, Cornwall Zoning Board of Appeals, the Board Directors Temple Hill Association, Orange County BOCES, Instructed masonry, a member of the Vails Gate Methodist Church and past treasurer and President of Trustees, Friend of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church and Bethlehem Cemetery Assoc., Aircraft Owners and Pilots Assoc., Member USS Haynesworth Assoc., and a Member Cornwall-Monroe Horse Thieves Detecting Society.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Memorial service will be at the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, Rt.94. New Windsor, N.Y. at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2009. A light supper will follow the service in Bethlehem Community Hall. Burial will private.

I think he designed my house! Sad to see him go (it's a nice house).
But, unfortunately, he wasn't any good at detecting the horse theives that had lived in it before I bought it!
