William J. Lyons of Cornwall, N.Y., died of natural causes on February 24, 2009.
He was born on April 12, 1936 in Mt. Vernon, N.Y. to William J & Lucy Anastasio Lyons. He attended Our Lady of Mercy Elementary School and graduated from Archbishop Stepinac High School.
In 1958, he married Angela Macri at Corpus Christi Church, Port Chester, N.Y. Bill was involved in many activities with Corpus Christi School Guild where his children attended school. He was an avid Giants fan and attended many home games with his wife and sons. Bill worked in the construction industry as a batch operator for Byram Concrete for over 25 yrs and retired in 2000.
He is survived by his loving wife, Angela, his son, William J. Lyons, III and his wife, Cynthia, of Cornwall, N.Y., daughter Linda M. Conners and husband, Kevin, of Downingtown, PA., son; Timothy J. and his wife, Carrie, of Spring, TX., and grandchildren: Jessica, Jacqueline and William Lyons, Erin, Cassidy, Kevin, and Ryan Conners, and Madysen and Emily Lyons.
Visitation will be private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2009, at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y. Entombment will be in Greenwich CT.
