Robert A. Sherman Sr., 75, of New Windsor, N.Y., died on September 20, 2008 at St. Luke’s Cornwall hospital in Cornwall, N.Y.
Sherman was a retired carpenter estimator for the USMA at West Point, N.Y. and was the spouse of Jean Randazzo.
He was born on July 21, 1933, in Cornwall, N.Y., the son of Charles Sherman and Frances Rosier Sherman.
He is survived by his former wife, Jean Randazzo; his sons Robert A. Sherman Jr. and his wife, Michele, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y. and Anthony Sherman, of New Windsor, N.Y.; a daughter, Michele Sherman, of Georgia; brothers, David Sherman, of Fl., and Buzzy Russo; a grandson, Brett M. Sherman; sisters–in-law Dottie Randazzo, Frances Jaeger and husband, Jerry; brothers–in-law Rocco and Alice Randazzo, James Randazzo, Eugene Randazzo , Richard and his wife, Mary Randazzo.
Robert Sherman was a member of Storm King Engine Co # 2 and a former member of Black Rock Fish & Game Club, in Mountainville, N.Y. He was an avid fisherman and hunter as well as a life- long Rangers fan.
No public visitation. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday 9/27/08 at the Orange County Veteran Cemetery in Goshen, N.Y.
