Warren S. Luken, 87, of Round Rock, Texas, formerly of Cornwall, N.Y., died on September 10, 2008.
Luken was born on December 6, 1920, in New York, New York, the son of Stephen Luken and Julia Martin Luken. He was retired from the New York State Department of Labor in Newburgh, N.Y., and served in the U.S. Army during World War Two.
He is survived by his wife Eugenia Assaibene Luken, at home, one daughter, Michele Kinsler, of Cedar Park, TX., one brother, Lincoln Luken, of Gardiner, Me., and grandchildren Stefanie Ruddick and her husband, Jerrod, Coleen Kinsler, Bryan Kinsler and his wife, Lauren.
Lukin was a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Francis Gorman Assembly, in Newburgh, N.Y., Knights of Columbus Our Lady of Fatima Council, in Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y., and the American Legion Post 353, in Cornwall, N.Y.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home at 337 Hudson Street in Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y.
A funeral service will be a 10 a.m. Mass on Monday, September 15, 2008 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y. and burial will follow the Mass in St. Thomas Cemetery, Cornwall, N.Y.
