James F. Swenson

James F. Swenson, died, Friday June 27, 2008, at the Cornwall Hospital. He was 58.

The son of the late G. William Swenson and Dorothy R. Swenson, he was born in Cornwall Hospital, Cornwall, NY.
 
James (Jim) was a high school graduate of Ross Corners Christian School, Ross Corners, NY and Baptist Bible College, Johnson City, NY. Jim was a lifetime member of the Cornwall Baptist Church. He was an active member serving as Head Usher, Deacon/Trustee, Church Clerk.
 
Jim was a self-employed chauffeur, known and loved around the Cornwall-Newburgh area.  His friendly and jovial spirit enlivened many a family gathering. His love for the Lord Jesus Christ was evidenced by his loving and helpful spirit toward others. He will be sorely missed.
 
Jim was predeceased by both parents and his bRother, Dean. He is survived by his close friend and companion, Ronald Lengkong, Cornwall, NY; cousins-Dorothy L. Rosenberger and her husband, Robert, Cornwall on Hudson, NY; Janet Yeoman and her husband Wesley, Cornwall, NY; Donald Gustafson and his wife, Karen, Wallkill, NY; Glenn Swenson and his wife, Kathy, Wallkill, NY; Ruth Rolfe and her husband Ted, NC; Linda Swenson, NC; Joyce Bruyn and her husband George, FL; Carol Rosier, FL.; Anita Marsh and her husband, Patrick, NH.
 
Friends may call on Tuesday, July 8, 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the Quigley Bros. Funeral Home Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. A memorial service will be celebrated at the Cornwall Baptist Church, 213 Main St., Cornwall, NY officiated by Rev. Stephen J. Racite on Wednesday at 10:00AM. Burial will be in the Cornwall Baptist Cemetery, Orrs Mill Rd, Cornwall.
 
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cornwall Baptist Church, 213 Main Street, Cornwall, NY.
 
Funeral arrangements by Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on- Hudson, NY.

Comments:

Jim was such a nice person, and our family appreciated his help getting to the airport on many occasions. On Jim's answering machine, his sunny message said he was sorry to miss his "favorite and most important customer -- you." That was his warm and friendly way. He will be missed.
