Jaci Canning Murphy was at the riverfront in mid-October and took these photos of people enjoying the unusually warm days of Indian summer.
Children ventured out onto the landing dock while two kayakers paddled the Hudson River waters, accompanied by a sea gull.

I road the waves of the Hudson River Dayliner nearly every day in the early 1950's. This is a flashback for me. We had a ww11 raft from the Mead and Taft factory that washed up on the beach after the Cornwall Dock fire. A life like Huck Finn is recalled....
