New Changes at Your Website
Dear Reader,
With this newsletter we bring you some exciting new features on Cornwall-on-Hudson.com and Cornwall-ny.com.
Starting today, all registered users of the website will be able to create their own profile, which will include a place to upload photos, videos, and blogs commenting on the world around us. Rebecca Darlington kicks off the first blog on the lower right corner of the home page. You can read more from Rebecca here.
You will notice a difference on the home page, where the name has been changed to News From Cornwall and Cornwall-on-Hudson. Registered users can log onto the site in the upper right hand corner. Everyone can read the articles on the website.
On the left-hand navigation bar, you will notice My Cornwall, a section including the Forum, Letters to the Editor, My Account and My Cornwall Members.
Once you register and create an Account, you will be able to save stories or events, upload blogs, photos and videos and access the Classified Ads section. The Classified Ads are now FREE, so if you want to sell something in your attic or garage, here’s the place to do it.
You will also be able to SEARCH the website for articles or events by entering a key word in the box at the top of the left-hand navigation bar. (This applies to any article or event beginning today but not to prior entries.)
Please take a few moments to look around the re-designed website and try out some of the new features that are intended to build an even greater online community in Cornwall and Cornwall-on-Hudson.
I will continue to bring you news from the village and town board meetings and introduce you to interesting people or historical events. But if you have an item that you think is important, you can share it directly with everyone through your blog.
In the meantime, here are a few items of interest that were posted today on the new website:
Help for the Cornwall Animal Shelter
Cornwall Dragons on TV?
Girls Varsity Soccer Team Scores 6th Straight Win
Mural Created by Students and Professional Artist
Village Police Blotter
Obituary: Karen L. Gould
Please send your questions or comments about the new features to [email protected].
Regards,
Nancy Peckenham
