Incidents
Police issue approximately 8 warnings and 5 summonses to drivers.
08/14/17 Police and Fire Dept. respond to Bayview Terrace for a gas leak.
08/15/17 Police respond to Shore Rd for a report of an accident. A car went into a ditch after trying to avoid a driver in the middle of the road.
08/15/17 Police and Fire Dept respond to Hudson St for a fire alarm. A resident burned their dinner which set off an alarm.
08/16/17 Police assist Newburgh Police with locating an arresting a suspect from a larceny of a convenient store.
08/17/17 Police respond to Payson Rd for a report of a loose dog, a small black and white colored dog with no id. Police kept the the dog for a few hours and then after no response from the owner, contacted Woodbury Animal Shelter for transfer to the shelter.
08/17/17 Police assist Town Police with a deer vs car accident on Rt 9W north.
08/19/17 A boy accidentally checked off the wrong amount for a Powerball ticket at a store which brought the amount to $32 and he only had $10 to pay for it. The store associate called the Police and the boy was eventually allowed to leave and the store would try to recoup the loss with Lotto.
